Hanks Rescue’s mission started in 2022 when the founder realized shelters and rescues were having to turn dogs away at a higher rate than ever before.

Named after our rescue dog Hank, who was posted on Facebook, at risk of being shot for wandering in someone’s yard. Animals suffer at the hands of irresponsible humans every day. The people in our very own communities are the ones responsible for the mess we see today. Please spay and neuter your pets and educate your children so the next generation does better than this one.

Please note:  We are a very small rescue, we are limited on how many we can take. Foster homes are getting harder to come by, and our little rescue is run by two people, with a few occasional volunteers. While we are small and will likely remain small, we will always try to do big things. We have built two shelters and would like to build for another rescue in the future. We take food that is donated to us and donate it right back to the hungry bellies in our community. We will continue our efforts as long as we have the support our community and animal lovers.
